Buffett-Signed Diamonds, Pearls, & Pens Hot Sellers at Borsheims

Omaha, NE – Berkshire Hathaway shareholders snapped up anything emblazoned with Warren Buffett’s signature during the 2017 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend at Borsheims. Diamonds, pearl strands, and pens featuring the signature of Berkshire Hathaway’s Chairman were among the best selling items, with the pens selling out the first day of the shareholder weekend.

Borsheims has offered a $15 ballpoint pen featuring Mr. Buffett’s signature for a few years now, but this year Borsheims offered a Mont Blanc rollerball pen with a black precious resin cap and barrel and Mr. Buffett’s engraved signature on the barrel. The pen sold for $246 and all of the pens were purchased by the end of Friday night’s shareholder-only cocktail party at Borsheims. The pen is still available for special order online at Borsheims.com.

The pearl strands featuring Warren Buffett’s signature engraved on the clasp were also new this year. Several strands of the pearls were made by TARA Pearls and sold, both white and multi-colored. On each strand, Mr. Buffett’s signature was engraved on the clasp and adorned with diamonds. You can see and download a photo of the pearl strands featuring Mr. Buffett’s signature here.

The Warren Buffett signed diamonds have been extremely popular with shareholders since Borsheims first started offering them in 2014. Borsheims brings in a very limited supply of loose diamonds featuring his signature, and shareholders who purchase them can have them set in a ring, stud earrings, or a pendant necklace. Some shareholders even keep the stones loose and return year after year to purchase additional signed diamonds to add to their collections. Each diamond featuring Mr. Buffett’s signature is part of Borsheims Signature Diamond collection, which is mined and polished in Canada. The signature is engraved inside the diamond, and requires a jeweler’s loupe to view. You can see and download a photo of it here.

Borsheims President & CEO Karen Goracke called it another successful Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend. “We love being able to host shareholders from all over the world during this weekend, and we know they love all things Warren Buffett,” Goracke said. “We were not surprised they were buying up all things ‘Warren’ and finding lots of tangible ways by which to remember their trip.”

Borsheims shareholder pricing continues through this Saturday, May 13th.

Borsheims Fine Jewelry and Gifts is one of the nation’s largest independent jewelry stores and a proud member of the Berkshire Hathaway family. With an international clientele spanning 50 states and six continents, Borsheims continues to operate with the vision that has guided the company for more than a century: “We are privileged to share in the special moments in our customers’ lives. We will treat this opportunity with the respect and importance it deserves.”

Best Signature on your Pearls? Warren Buffett’s of course!

Friday, May 5th, 2017

For Warren Buffett fans, there’s no signature you’d rather have on your pearl strand. Borsheims this year is offering a very exclusive and limited number of pearl strand necklaces featuring Warren Buffett’s signature on the clasp of the pearls.

The signature on the clasp is adorned with diamonds and on featured on either white, yellow, or rose gold. Some strands are multicolored and some are white.

We expect these pearl strands featuring Mr. Buffett’s signature to sell quickly – similar to our diamonds signed by Warren Buffett. The pearls come from one of our favorite pearl vendors, TARA & Sons. Each year, they bring in the most exquisite pearls available in the world to show Berkshire Hathaway shareholders. Now, they’ve collected the finest pearl strands and combined it with Warren Buffett’s signature to create what will be a best-seller for the weekend.

Warren Buffett’s signature on the pearl strand clasp is a bit easier to see than the signature on the diamonds (it’s inscribed inside the diamond – you need a loupe to view it) so this is a great opportunity for those shareholders who like to more visibly show their affection for Mr. Buffett.

Whether or not you’re in the market for a pearl strand with Warren Buffett’s signature, stop into Borsheims to check them out. They’re truly one-of-a-kind and only available at Borsheims this weekend.

Update: Warren Buffett-signed Diamonds Nearly Sold Out

Saturday, May 3rd, 2014

UPDATE: We have only 6 loose stones left. If you want a Warren Buffett signed diamond, act fast!

Two hours.

That’s all the time it took for us to sell through our supply of 25 Warren Buffett-signed diamond pendant necklaces this morning at the CenturyLink Center during the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting.

Those shareholders who bought them got a steal. The 1/2 carat diamond pendants would retail for $2500 even without Warren Buffett’s signature. But since Warren wants us to give shareholders great deals, we reduced the price to $1,750. They sold fast! They were gone by 9am!

WEB Signature InscriptionWe do have a few of the loose diamonds for sale still at Borsheims store, although not many! We sold the first two early last week, as soon as people found out about the diamonds. We’ve sold many more since. With only 26 of the loose stones total, you probably want to stake your claim to your diamond early Sunday morning (we open at 9am).

We weren’t the only Berkshire Hathaway company selling out of things at the CenturyLink Center. Take a look at this story from the Omaha World Herald on all the buying that was happening during the annual meeting.

We are so glad our shareholders come to support us by shopping and we are happy to give them great deals!
