What’s the Most Expensive Piece at Borsheims This Year?

Friday, April 29th, 2016

The question I get asked the most each year (other than where to find the restrooms) is what is the most expensive item at Borsheims.

Here is this year’s winner…

Yellow Diamond

It’s a 56.10 carat fancy intense yellow diamond.

Want to take it home? We’d love to have a shareholder buy it! Retail price is more than $6 million, but a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder can take it home for $4.6 million.

Award-Winning Ring at Borsheims for Berkshire Hathaway Weekend

Wednesday, April 6th, 2016

It will be no surprise to any shareholders who have visited Borsheims during Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend in the past…

An award-winning ring will be in house, available for people to see, try on, and even buy at a special shareholder-only price!

Rahaminov Rose Ring

The ring is from one of our favorite vendors, Rahaminov Diamonds. The 2.3 carat natural fancy pink diamond at the center of the ring, the incredible diamonds surrounding it, and the overall beautiful design helped this ring to win the 2016 JCK Jewelers’ Choice Award Grand Prize.

Each year, the Rahaminov Diamonds crew brings cases of incredible jewelry like this ring. They’re responsible for last year’s 50 carat yellow diamond (in honor of Berkshire Hathaway’s 50th anniversary celebration.)

Make sure to carve out some time in your busy Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend to stop by Borsheims luxury salon and see the award winning ring – and all the other fantastic jewelry – for yourself. We promise to give you a great shareholder discount!

50 Carat Diamond for 50 Years of Berkshire Hathaway

Friday, April 17th, 2015

We found the most amazing way to commemorate 50 years of Berkshire Hathaway.

With a 50 carat natural fancy yellow cushion cut diamond ring!

FancyYellowIt’s gorgeous, isn’t it!?!

The retail price on it is $2.3 million, but our Berkshire Hathaway shareholders can get it at a discount, of course.

It hasn’t landed in the store yet, but once it does you can bet we’ll have pictures of it on our fingers. Come in during Berkshire Hathaway weekend and check it out for yourself!

The #BRK2014 Visitor’s Guide is Out!

Friday, March 21st, 2014

You know we are getting close to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend when the Visitor’s Guide is revealed. We are always anxious to see it for a few reasons: 1) it unveils this year’s Berkshire theme, and 2) it details all the fun events scheduled for the weekend.

Berkshire Hathaway visitor's guide cover

You can read it over yourself here or it’s always available on the right hand side of our website.

See if you can guess the theme.

It’s baseball!

How cute is the Geico Gecko with the baseball bat!?! And Heinz gets some front-and-center attention.

We have a few baseball-related ideas up our sleeve for the weekend, too. Plus, we have had baseball on our minds here at Borsheims (even in the midst of March Madness).

Look what we just designed and presented:

The Omaha Storm Chasers were the 2013 Triple A National Champions. We designed the rings and presented them to the team and staffers this past week. It was so fun!

Sing it with us… “Take me out to the ballgame Berkshire Hathaway weekend!”

Six weeks from today, shareholders! Six weeks!

Record Number of Colored Diamonds at Borsheims

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

If Borsheims had its own theme for this year’s Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend, it might be colored diamonds!

We are swimming in them (not literally… although that would be very, very cool!).

They were once reserved for royalty and the very wealthy, but we have them in all shapes, sizes and price points!

From a pink diamond ring for under $10,000 to a Majestic bracelet retailing for $8 million, we have it all!

They are all for sale this weekend at Borsheims. Come buy one from our friendly sales associates. Or buy one from our one-day-a-year sales associate, Warren Buffett. He promises a “Crazy Warren” price!

Here are some of the most unique pieces:

We are calling this ring the "traffic light ring." It has fancy purple pink, fancy vivid yellow and fancy intense yellowish green diamonds. It retails for $436,000.

The Majestic Pink Diamond Bracelet can never be duplicated. It has 204 square-cut marquise and raidant pink diamonds totalling more than 43 carats. Every diamond in this bracelet has its own GIA certificate. There are not enough diamonds remaining of this color and quality to make another bracelet like this one. It retails for $8 million.

Taking the Stars & Stripes Theme to Heart

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

Some of our vendors at Borsheims seem to be taking the Berkshire Hathaway issued Stars and Stripes theme to heart.

First we had the giant eagle outside of Borsheims, by Omaha artist Matthew Placzek.

Now we have an eagle inside the store! Roberto Coin Eagle RingThis one is small enough you can wear it on your finger. It’s from jewelry designer Roberto Coin. Only 10 were made and we are happy to have one here in Omaha this weekend. It retails for $29,000 (and you know Berkshire shareholders get a discount!).

As with all Roberto Coin jewelry, there is a ruby hidden inside it. Rubies are believed to bring health and happiness to the wearer.
