For Berkshire Shareholders: A Peek Inside Borsheims Luxury Salon

Friday, May 4th, 2012

The luxury salon at Borsheims is a great place to see one-of-a-kind jewelry every day of the year. But today (and through the weekend), we have a ridiculous amount of one-of-a-kind jewelry in the store.

We fly it in just for Berkshire Hathaway shareholders. We know they love to shop, love to look at (and buy) pretty things, and love to get great discounts. At Borsheims, that’s what we offer!25 carat diamond pendant

One of the most expensive items in store this weekend is this 25 carat pear shaped diamond pendant. It is rare in color, size and cut… so it will cost you. $4.5 million is the retail price on it. Your Berkshire Hathaway shareholder discount is bound to knock that price down by quite a bit.

If you buy that pendant necklace, you will probably want to balance it out with a ring. This 18 carat diamond flower ring matches the necklace nicely, since it is comprised of pear cut diamonds. It’s hard to capture this beauty on camera – it’s too sparkly! (Flower Diamond RingWhat a problem to have!)

Some of the jewelry we have in the store takes years to assemble, after all – most of it relies on nature to form it.

This large pearl necklace took about six years to put together. The jeweler needed to find pearls of similar enough size, shape and color to match together and make into a necklace. These South Sea Tahitian cultured pearls range from 17 to 19 mm and have a grey undertone. They are large! The retail price is $600,000 for this one-of-a-kind piece.Large Pearl NecklaceYou can take a look at more of the jewelry we have in store by browsing through this slideshow (or heading over to our Flickr account to page through all our photos!
