2013 Berkshire Hathaway Memorabilia

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

We are so thrilled at Borsheims to be one of just a few Berkshire Hathaway companies to offer the official Berkshire Hathaway memorabilia. It is a responsibility that we have a lot of fun with!

This year, I especially love our zip drives that look like a tiny cartoon Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Their legs come off to reveal the USB port. Aren’t they cute?!? They’re $16!

We have so many other fun gifts to remember the 2013 Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting. Take a look at this video to see all our new memorabilia, returning memorabilia and some of the special jewelry we will be selling at amazing prices – but only at the CenturyLink Center during Saturday’s annual meeting.

And one note to answer a question we have already received. There is no Christopher Radko commemorative ornament this year. It’s a favorite with some of our shareholders, but didn’t fit in with the theme this year. We think it will make a return next year, and in the meantime, we have a few Radko ornaments left from past years.

What Not to Miss: Berkshire Hathaway at CenturyLink

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

A quick guide if you’re at (or headed to) the CenturyLink Center for today’s Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting…

Stop by and see the mini Berkyville built by the folks at Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Their model railroad runs around a city made entirely of Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries.

We love Borsheims placement right next to Berkyville Headquarters!

You also don’t want to miss the BookWorm booth, where they are selling copies of the Women of Berkshire book.Women of Berkshire Hathaway bookThe caricatures of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger seem to be a big hit. They are located in front of the Borsheims booth.

Check out this jewelry vending machine from our vendor (and another Berkshire Hathaway company) Richline. It’s selling Gold Coins with Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger’s photos on them.

Every year, Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend has a different theme. Last year’s theme was “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” and with that – some travel themed discount items. I’m sure they’ll still be in style for this year’s trip to Omaha!

New Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders’ Weekend Memorabilia

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

The 2011 Berkshire Hathaway memorabilia has been unveiled, and you’ll want to get your hands on some before you set foot in Omaha! Since the theme of this year’s annual meeting is “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” the great staff at Borsheims selected the perfect pieces of memorabilia to complement the theme.

For instance, traveling by plane? Don’t use the nasty old neck pillow and blanket that everyone on the hundreds of flights before you has used. Carry your very own travel pillow and blanket, emblazoned with the BRK logo! The blanket actually comes inside the pillow, and then you can inflate the pillow when you take the blanket out. How convenient is that!?! And I touched this set while I was photographing it. It’s cozy. It made me want to curl up right on the sales floor in Borsheims for a nap. It’s $45 and can be purchased here, now!

I haven’t traveled by train in a while, but the last time I did you could bring your own water (a definite perk over air travel!). No one will look sportier on the train than you if you’re carrying this Warren and Charlie Travel Mug. Fill it with water, tea, Coca Cola, or whatever beverage warms your heart (within security regulations, of course!). This mug will keep hot things hot and cold things cold. In addition to the photo of Warren and Charlie on the front, it also has the names of each of the Berkshire Hathaway companies exhibiting at the Qwest Center during the 2011 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders’ meeting. Buy it here for $15.

Driving to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting? Keep track of your keys on this Berkshire Hathaway stock certificate key chain. This sterling silver key ring was custom made to look like a Berkshire Hathaway stock certificate. It will dress up any set of keys so much, no one will be able to tell if you’re driving an old beater or the newest model right off the showroom floor. The BRK Key Ring costs $99 and can be purchased here.

For the few shareholders who live within walking distance of us, we have you covered. Literally! This Berkshire Hathaway umbrella will keep you dry. And since you live here, you know that it can rain at a moment’s notice. Keep this umbrella handy and impress your friends with your preparedness and stylishness! Buy it now here for $25.

Of course, all of the Berkshire Hathaway memorabilia will be available during the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders’ weekend. You can visit the booth set up at the entrance to Borsheims Friday and Sunday, or visit our booth in the exhibit hall of the Qwest Center on Saturday. But a word of warning… some of the popular items last year sold out on Friday. So if there’s something you really want, grab it Friday. Or grab it now and browse the selection at www.borsheims.com.

The Visitor’s Guides are out!

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Or at least the electronic version is ready to go! If you’re coming to this year’s Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders’ meeting, you’ll enjoy checking out this year’s visitor’s guide now.

Assembled by Warren Buffett’s wonderful staff at Berkshire Hathaway headquarters here in Omaha, the guide is a great overview of everything that’s going on during Berkshire Hathaway shareholders’ weekend.

We have the download-friendly pdf right here.

In it, you will find information on hotels, restaurants and activities taking place during the shareholder weekend. The guide also contains the official schedule of events for the weekend, shuttle information and details on shareholder shopping periods.

You can see from the cover of the guide that this year’s theme is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. (Did you know there’s a theme for each year’s Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders’ meeting?) At Borsheims, we try to ensure our decor and memorabilia reflect the theme. The shareholder passes do, too.

We’ll be unveiling our 2011 Berkshire Hathaway memorabilia here soon, but until then, enjoy a little light reading to get you excited for your trip to Omaha!

Omaha World-Herald: Ranks of Buffett Devotees to Swell

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010
The Omaha World-Herald’s Steve Jordon wrote a front-page article Monday to kick off Berkshire Hathaway shareholders week. The focus of the article was on the record-setting crowds expected again this year, and how businesses like Borsheims are preparing to welcome the crowds.
Here’s what Borsheims’ President & CEO Susan Jacques told him:
“It’s always mayhem, but it’s a really fun opportunity to meet fascinating people who come from all around the world and who are thrilled and delighted to be here,” said Susan Jacques, president of Berkshire’s Omaha jewelry giant, Borsheims. “Anytime we can have new folks come to take a look at the activities in the city of Omaha, we love it.”
Read the rest of the article, including information about what Borsheims is doing to welcome the crowds, here.
