Have $1 Million to Spend at Borsheims? Here’s how!

Thursday, May 4th, 2017

It would be horrible if you were walking around Borsheims this week with $1 million in your pocket and no idea how to spend it.

We’re here to help you part with your money – and to receive something stunning in return!

So here are a few ideas that are all right around $1 million retail. Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, of course, get a discount and will have plenty of money left to buy other fun souvenirs from the weekend!

First up, how about a just-over 15-carat cushion cut diamond. It’s set in platinum with another 1+ carats of trapezoid diamonds surrounding it.

If your fingers are already laden with diamonds, perhaps a diamond pendant necklace is in order. It’s a 7.60 carat pear diamond set in 18k yellow gold. It retails for just under $1 million.

Maybe you prefer a necklace to a pendant? Hard to argue with 55.26 carats of diamonds in this platinum Diamond Riviera necklace that retails for $1 million exactly.

“But I prefer my diamonds yellow,” you say? Okay, we have a 20.21 carat radiant cut fancy yellow diamond ring that’s just a smidge over $1 million.

But again, that’s all retail pricing. Shareholders get a bargain!

These amazing pieces are all from one of our favorite vendors, Rahaminov. They have a spread of jewelry priced below and far above $1 million, and it’s all in our Luxe Salon during Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend. Stop in today and let us help you part with your million dollars!

Animals You Can Wear at Borsheims

Thursday, April 28th, 2016

Earlier this week, we talked about the lions, tigers, and rhinos at Borsheims that will greet Berkshire Hathaway shareholders.

They’re more of the set-on-a-shelf-and-admire sort of animals.

If you’re more into wearable animals, do we have some options for you!

This collection of pearl animals from one of our favorite vendors, TARA Pearls125231_142 Tara Crab 00132252_107 00133106_178 00133197_070 00133230_211

Aren’t they cool? And this is just a sampling of the animals they have!

Come in to Borsheims to check them out during Berkshire Hathaway weekend. The crew from TARA Pearls will be on hand to tell you all about how special these are and I know they give great discounts to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders.

Exceptional Diamonds at Borsheims for Berkshire Hathaway Golden Jubilee

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015

Some of the most exquisite diamonds in the world will be available for Berkshire Hathaway shareholders to purchase during the 2015 shareholders meeting. The Exceptional Diamond collection from Forevermark consists of diamonds that are viewed as exceptional from the moment they are discovered in the mines. The diamonds’ carat weight, color, and purity make them stand out from the very beginning. Their mark as an Exceptional Diamond means their entire journey – from mine to store – is carefully documented.

The Exceptional Di1050 Diamond Forevermarkamonds coming to Borsheims range from 5 carats to 18 carats and range in color from colorless to Fancy Intense Yellow. I cannot wait to see them in person. The TEN FIFTY diamond (at left) is one of the Exceptional Diamonds. Did I mention they have names? Some do. Others are waiting for you to name them. TEN FIFTY got its name from its size – 10.50 carats. I think I’d like to have FANCY INTENSE YELLOW EIGHTEEN.

WEB Signature InscriptionThe Exceptional Diamonds aren’t the only diamonds at Borsheims this year, of course. We will again have a limited collection of Warren Buffett signed diamonds. These diamonds were a huge hit last year – they have Warren Buffett’s signature on the girdle of the diamond. We sold out during the three day Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend, with Warren Buffett selling several of the diamonds himself. We made a few more of the special diamonds for this year. They are all loose stones, ranging in size from 3/4 carat up to 5 carats. They can be made into rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants or kept as a loose stone.

These diamonds will be a must-see at Borsheims during Berkshire Hathaway weekend. These and the 50 carat yellow diamond! Plus we’ll have dozens more can’t-miss pieces. Look for photos of all as they start rolling into the store next week. We’ll have them right here and on our Flickr account.

Most Expensive Items at Borsheims? Huge Diamonds!

Friday, May 2nd, 2014

Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, like their leader Warren Buffett, sometimes get the reputation of being frugal.

We have cases and cases full of jewelry, watches and gifts that will fit in a frugal shopper’s budget.

But we figure there are some shareholders who have enough BRKA shares that they can afford some of the most expensive items we have at Borsheims for Berkshire Hathaway weekend. (And the rest of us enjoy looking at them, too!)

In no particular order, I present some of our luxury jewelry currently in store:

Emerald Cut Diamond Ring available for $4 million at Borsheims.

This might be the most expensive piece in store this weekend. At $4 million, it’s a pretty good sized diamond ring. 15 carats to be exact.

Art Deco Earrings

Kerry Washington

See why these earrings are so cool? Fred Leighton brought these estate art deco diamond earrings to Borsheims. Kerry Washington only borrowed them, but you can take them home for a cool $55,000.

Fred Leighton Victorian Era Necklace $120,000If you want the most bang for your buck, get a necklace that can also double as a tiara. Another piece from Fred Leighton, but this time it is from the Victorian Era. Seriously, you can wear it as a tiara or a necklace. That makes the $120,000 price tag a little more appealing, doesn’t it?

Yellow Diamond Ring

Let’s return to the big diamonds. How about a 40 carat yellow? $2.8 million sound about right?

RahaminovIf yellow isn’t your color, try this one out. It’s a 20+ carat diamond for $2.9 million.

Tara Triple Strand

If pearls are more your thing, this triple strand from Tara will make you swoon. The natural colored pearls are set in platinum for $369,000.

Here is the most amazing part, shareholders. The prices I listed are retail prices. You will get the Borsheims price AND THEN the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder discount on top of that. Imagine how much money you’ll be $aving by shopping at Borsheims!

Record Number of Colored Diamonds at Borsheims

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

If Borsheims had its own theme for this year’s Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend, it might be colored diamonds!

We are swimming in them (not literally… although that would be very, very cool!).

They were once reserved for royalty and the very wealthy, but we have them in all shapes, sizes and price points!

From a pink diamond ring for under $10,000 to a Majestic bracelet retailing for $8 million, we have it all!

They are all for sale this weekend at Borsheims. Come buy one from our friendly sales associates. Or buy one from our one-day-a-year sales associate, Warren Buffett. He promises a “Crazy Warren” price!

Here are some of the most unique pieces:

We are calling this ring the "traffic light ring." It has fancy purple pink, fancy vivid yellow and fancy intense yellowish green diamonds. It retails for $436,000.

The Majestic Pink Diamond Bracelet can never be duplicated. It has 204 square-cut marquise and raidant pink diamonds totalling more than 43 carats. Every diamond in this bracelet has its own GIA certificate. There are not enough diamonds remaining of this color and quality to make another bracelet like this one. It retails for $8 million.
