Finest Hour will perform tonight at Borsheims.
Finest Hour will heat things up in the tent tonight for the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder-only cocktail party at Borsheims.
Here is a little “Behind the Music” for Finest Hour:
- It was originally created in 1977 in Omaha.
- The band got back together in 2008 for a Class Reunion.
- They have about one gig a month because they are all busy professionals in their “real lives.”
- They are one of Omaha’s premier cover/dance/party bands!
They’ll start playing at 6:00 and will end at 9:00 tonight. Come out and enjoy the show. We promise you’ll stay warm!
We are thrilled to announce the entertainment for Berkshire Hathaway weekend at Borsheims.
The party in the tent gets a little packed!
As you may remember from past Berkshire Hathaway shareholder weekends, we throw one heck of a great party at Borsheims.
The Friday night shareholder-only cocktail party is a great time for shareholders to shop for jewelry, reunite with other shareholders traveling to Omaha from across the globe, or dance like crazy in our giant tent in the parking lot of Regency Court.
This year, we are pleased to announce that Omaha band Finest Hour will be our band for the Friday night cocktail party. Finest Hour touts themselves at the premier cover/dance/party band in Omaha. We can back that up – they are always very fun and should provide music that shareholders of all stripes can love.
On 
Sunday, the vibe is a bit more mellow. Sunday’s shareholder-only shopping day at Borsheims features a brunch, chess and magicians, billionaires playing bridge and Warren Buffett selling jewelry. The Potash Twins have entertained our shareholders for years and this year will be no exception. Ezra and Adeev Potash hail from Omaha but are making a big name for themselves in the world of jazz, funk and hip-hop. They are flying in from New York City to perform for Berkshire Hathaway shareholders.
We can’t wait for you to join us for Berkshire Hathaway shareholders weekend in Omaha, May 3rd through May 5th. It’s coming soon!
Not only will the weather be hot for tonight’s cocktail reception at Borsheims, but the music will be, too!
ShurThing! is performing. They are a local band known for getting people up off their chairs and dancing. We know our shareholders love to dance. They’ll start playing around 6pm in the tent in front of Borsheims. Come on out and join us!
I’m sure by this point, out-of-towners have already booked their flights and hotels. Everyone should now focus their attention to making restaurant reservations for the weekend. With more than 35,000 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders here for the weekend, the restaurant scene can be a little packed.

Of course, you should plan on eating at Borsheims during our Friday shareholder cocktail party and Sunday’s shareholder-only brunch. They are free to all shareholders.
Nebraska Furniture Mart offers a barbeque for shareholders on Saturday for a $5 fee.
One of Warren Buffett’s favorite steakhouses, Gorat’s, has a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder-only day on Sunday. The opened for reservations on April 1, so they may already be booked. You can try them at 402-551-3733.
One of Warren’s other favorite steakhouses, Piccolo’s, is taking reservations as well. Their number is 402-342-9038.

Hello Shareholders!
I want to officially welcome you to the kick-off of Berkshire Hathaway shareholder weekend 2011. The fun begins tonight with our shareholder only cocktail party at Borsheims. We are hard at work here getting everything ready for you. Our main work? Cramming carefully displaying as much jewelry as we can in our cases so you’ll have the biggest selection at the lowest price (Berkshire price!!!).
We also have hundreds of shareholders already shopping. So join the fun early. You don’t have to wait for the cocktails to be poured to start perusing the selection!
Welcome, and see you tonight!
Okay, so all 40,000 of you shareholders won’t fit in the tent at the same time, but about that many of you will be in the tent at some point this weekend. And why wouldn’t you? This place is fun once the food, bars, tables, band and shareholders get in here!
A few fast facts about the tent:
- It is the largest tent we can fit in our parking lot. Trust us. We’ve tried to make a larger one fit. It won’t.
- We are putting it up (today) Thursday and it takes all day to erect the tent and then get it all set up inside.
- This tent is tough… in past years, it has withstood torrential rain, crazy winds and even a little hail. But let’s not try that again.
Come join us in the tent. Party starts tomorrow and ends Sunday, and the tent will be here for all of it.
So… how about seeing what we look like on a non-Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder weekend kind of day?
We actually have a parking lot in front of the store... not just a large party tent.
Inside the store, without thousands of shareholders, you can almost see from one entrance to the other.
In Regency Court, there's room for sitting and listening to the piano when it's not packed with shareholders, bridge tables and bars.
