Warren Buffett Sells, and Sells, and Sells at Borsheims
Two Hours, Dozens of Customers get “Crazy Warren” price
Omaha, NE – Warren Buffett promised his “Crazy Warren” price to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders and he came through for dozens of shareholders today at Borsheims. Buffett spent more than two hours helping customers finalize their jewelry selections. Most of the customers were purchasing the jewelry to commemorate a special occasion and felt very fortunate they were able to make their purchase from the Oracle of Omaha.
Here are some of the examples of the customers he helped:
- A couple from Perth, Australia, is visiting the U.S. for the first time. They had planned to look for an engagement ring in New York City, but the wife-to-be agreed to look at engagement rings with Mr. Buffett but kept saying they weren’t prepared to buy. They found the perfect ring and loved “Crazy Warren’s” price, but the wife-to-be said they probably couldn’t get it. At that point, the husband-to-be pulled out the amount of the ring in cash. He had intended to purchase it from Mr. Buffett all along.
- A woman had last been to the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders event ten years ago when she got to shake Mr. Buffett’s hand. Today, he sold her an anniversary band for her tenth wedding anniversary. She was so overcome with emotion that she started crying when taking a picture with him.
- A family traveled from Rio de Janeiro for the first time. The father bought his daughter a new ring to wear to her wedding this summer. She was overcome with emotion.
- A big weekend for one man! He graduated from Warren Buffett’s alma mater (University of Nebraska – Lincoln) on Saturday and on Sunday, bought his engagement ring from Warren Buffett.
Borsheims President & CEO Susan Jacques said Warren Buffett is – again – an amazing salesman. “We are so grateful that he came back to Borsheims to sell this year,” Jacques said. “We are thrilled that he was able to experience what we do every day – helping our customers celebrate the special occasions in their lives.”
